Palawan Tit
Local name: Kasisiroy
Scientific name: Parus amabilis

The Palawan Titmouse, or Palawan Tit for short, is endemic to Palawan. A small active bird with a plump body, distinctive coloration (black head, yellow body), short neck, and long tail. It has a conical bill for feeding on insects and small fruits.

Although the Palawan Tit is fairly common in El Nido, it is classified as “near threatened” overall because of the loss and degradation of its tropical moist lowland forest habitat.
