am a sailor. our ship used to be stationed in palawan and regularly patrol the waters of northern palawan including el nido. i have been also to many places around the country because of my job (actually, it is more of an adventure) and el nido tops my list as the most beautiful (amazing!) place. when our ship is anchored, we used to visit all the islands there, had our share of unforgetable experiences and even childlike foolishness marami rin isda doon kaya pag wala magawa, itapon lang namin ang aming mga kawil at sandali lang mayroon nang huli pusit o lapu-lapu, sabay ipaluto, sabay boodlefight kasama mga ka-shipmates!

dito nko ngayon nadestino sa mga kabundukan ng kordillera. malamig at laging umuulan. i missed the sun, sea, sand, wind, and waves. i miss el nido.

balang araw babalik rin ako doon.

or maybe live there for good.

Is there any law existing in El Nido, Palawan that strictly prohibits the throwing or leaving of garbage in the beaches? I hope there is one and it is strictly being enforced.

I’m honestly not sure about DENR – DENR issued an ECC provided that the PPA abides by the terms and conditions set by DENR but the PPA hasn’t complied. The Palawan governor (Joel Reyes) is supporting the dredging. Maybe we can start with him instead?
